There are fish all around still. And their sizes are as different as there are fishermen. Yesterday we weighed in this 21 pounder taken by kayak on tube and worm, and two of the fellas out boating got a basket of schoolies as well as a medium bluefish using topwater plugs. Now this bluefish may note the departure of mackerel from our waters, as the Blues love to snack on the macks. It’s slowed a little for the fly guys this week, but Dick Brown, or his wife, foul hooked a sturgeon yesterday. Must have been like trying to reel in a torpedo on fly line.
