Last week I guided David and Lee out on the beachfront Thursday evening and we ran into mackerel (which were hitting our SP minnows) as well as bass up to keeper size. Andy guided a couple customers on Saturday evening along the beachfront near the shop and they came up with a few schoolies. Last night I fished the beachfront again for a few hours at sunset and came up empty, so you gotta be in the right place at the right time still it seems.

If you are willing to put in a lot of work and lose some sleep, there are some very big fish to be had. I fished a different area of the North Shore with my buddies Gabe & Jay on Friday and Saturday night and ran into some very nice fish in the 20-30lb range. Plugs were the ticket (mambos, sp’s and redfins) and all the fish were released.

I landed a 30 pounder on an eel last week as well. I was alone so unfortunately no pictures, but luckily I had my go-pro running. I also got some great footage of some of the big fish we got into this weekend….enjoy!
