Well the striper fishing is steadily improving but it’s still spotty. I haven’t found it to be overly predictable just yet. Some spots that produce fish one day will draw a skunk the next, despite being a similar time and tide stage. Earlier in the week I had some phenomenal fishing during the clouds & showers on Tuesday in both the river and out along the beachfront. The cold weather we had push through towards the end of the week slowed things down for a bit but was able to find some fish if you put in some time and did some walking. Most of the fish are still on the small side, but I did run into some fish that were in the low 30″ class late saturday night/early sunday morning. I expect that things will continue to improve this coming week with the warm stretch of weather that is forecast, so look for bigger fish to be showing up any day…..
