The action is definitely picking up again along the oceanfront. As usual Tommy and Brendan have been hitting the beachfront at night, working eels, and producing fish. Brendan sent me a text and picture Wednesday am:
“I figured 2:38 in the morning was early for a report I got nine last night they were all around 24 to 28 except a small fish that was shorter than the eel and this guy who was 34 inches and he was 16 pounds. Yesterday off the boat i got seven fish on a little ronz but they were all schoolies my dad got two on the tube and that was almost all on the outgoing tide”
Tommy Costa just showed up at the shop to get ready for another night. He did well Sunday night and is back to try again. Here is a picture of his 44+ striper from that night. Again an eel man!
Then we had this fish come in from Sandy Point last night at about 8pm. Ken (Rubber Band Man) Gage from Manchester NH caught this 15-4 using clams. Ken was fishing the top of the incoming tide and just the start of the outgoing.
