Dave from Boston just called in his daily report.

Excitement is in the air. Can’t tell the precise location but he says that they got 3 stripers 15-18” fish on lures in the Mystic River. Says the herring schools have been coming now on a regular basis up the river and these fish were in with the herring.

    Rumor has it a few are already in the Annisquam (fresh ones). Things are ahead of last year. With the 3-4 day warmup, it wouldn’t be too early to hit the PI beachfront or even the river next week IMHO.

    Fished the last two hours of the outgoing on the PI side of the Merrimack on Sat and Sun….zilch. Few other guys out too, did not see any action. This weather should be bringing them in this week I would think…..

    Fished sunday 4/15/12 at a certain lacation and got 32 stripers, Tallman got probably 40+ stripes. There were over 300 caught that i saw. Good things are happenin’!

    In response to Toby’s comment, I understand not giving away specific coordinates of a hot fishing spot (the “certain location”), but it would be nice to know the general area. So were the 300 stripers in Maryland, New York State, somewhere in MA, somewhere in CA, or, elsewhere?
