Today we saw a few fish in the store. These fish came from the southern end of the island, basically Sandy Point. First we have Jessup Goldberg Cook from Northhampton, MA who caught this 7 pounder. He was fishing the oceanfront using clams during the top of the incoming tide. He

JULY 29 – SNAPPERS

Yesterday for a better part of the day we had a lot of excitement over this little fish, the snapper bluefish. Thousands were on the oceanfront schooling with, as far as the fishermen could tell, nothing behind them chasing them. The Kelly’s, Brendan, and Billy Page went

July 23 – Tautog

Well, again we have a few guys doing well on the oceanfront. Jimmy from Lowell got a fish from the oceanfront in and around the low tide. Jimmy’s fished weighed in at 9 lbs, but was skinny. If this new fish in the area,  they should be fat soon with all the bait fish

JULY 16 – DOG DAYS OF SUMMER

Well what have got to tell you? Very little. I can tell you that Mugsy, Ed and Tommy Kelly went out in the boat Sunday night. They headed out at sunset to fish the mouth of the river. They drifted tinker macks and caught one fish that was 31″. Hooked another but lost that

JULY 11- SUMMER SLUMP

What a week. Rain, rain, rain, and then some more rain. The air has been thick, the water warm, and the fishing slow from the surf. Don’t get me wrong, there are fish there, lots of them, but just like us in the heat they get sluggish. They slow down on their eating and
