This video was shot 2 weeks ago by Ron Powers a writer for On the Water magazine.

“I shot this video in Boston harbor (totally saltwater) on Tuesday, December friggin’ 4th!, with my Marcum LX-9 while trembling in my kayak. And the jitters had nothing to do with the cold!”

    They are there year round. I have caught them as late as December and as early as March 13th. On another bit of information, very small stripers have been taken at the Edison plant and it was believed that they may have spawned in the Mystic. Fresh water side stripers have been taken in the Mystic Lake, just below the dam also.
