03 Jun Island Boys
So May has come and gone. It was a strange month for sure, but that will be another post for another day.
Island Boy Turns 29
Today is Brendan’s Birthday!! Best wishes for our very own “trash panda” on his special day today. You’ve come a long way kid! HAPPY 29th BIRTHDAY!!
Nick Petty
Another island boy has also come along way, a long way with his fishing skills. Nick has certainly put in the effort since coming home after his first year of college. If he’s not on the boat working as a mate on Sydney Lee Charters with Captain Bob Yeomans he is either hitting the beach searching for bass or out on his boat looking for bass, mackerel, haddock, almost any type of fish he can catch.
He has been keeping us well informed with a few reports over the last weeks.
- Got 2 at the marsh by the bridge early today at low tide and my buddy got one, then with the outgoing tide moved out to the point by the captains ladies and got 4 within 10 minutes, biggest was 26” all on worm and buck tails
- 29″
- Got around 12 today, 2 slot sized fish, one at 22 and the rest 26”-27”, no Mack’s at breaking rock (only place I was able to hit before the wind blew in kicking up the swell
Yes, I know we have been lacking in the posts this spring and we will try harder from now on. It has been a windy spring so there wasn’t much to report on, but over the last couple weeks we have seen an explosion of activity on the island. More to come…
