23 Jul July 23 – Bluefish
Well before Bryan had to head home for Vermont, he and Brendan hit the beach last night late for the incoming tide. They walked the oceanfront casting needlefish lures and manged plenty of hits, but only one fish was brought to shore. Bait fishermen are still producing some bass from the oceanfront as well. Two out of three of the Kelly boys were down Saturday night fishing worms and hit fish all night long but they were all small stuff. In the morning they said there were loads of fish busting but as the story goes….not biting on anything they threw.

We had one fisherman in this morning who went out front for the incoming tide and used some of Bill Hurley’s soft baits and did well on blues. He was back for another bag! Love those teeth! And the other news of the morning is that they got blues on the incoming tide in the river. Get out some of the single hook lures guys!

Posted at 19:28h, 25 JulyHad a great day on Sat and Sunday. Found a school of pogies that had blues and a few stripers sitting below them. Lots of fun. Blues were HUGE!! After getting tired of catching only blues on Sunday, we headed back to the dock to clean up and the kid got a 35″ and 30″ bass at the dock.
