June 10…………….on fire!!!

Non-stop action all day in the river. Have had reports coming in from everywhere. The boat guys had one of best days in many years…………………and the day isn’t over. Mike Fallon, a former worker of ours, came in for some supplies and gave me a report. He headed out to collect some tinker mackerel off Breaking Rock. Then into the mouth to live line the fish. Mike and his passengers drifted anywhere from the mouth of the river out to the MR buoy. All this during the outgoing tide. “Never had this much action live-lining mackerel”. They caught over 40 “keeper” sized bass, with the range being 28-30′”, and a few up to 35″. He also staed that there were a lot of little fish busting on top pushing sandeels. What a day!!! Mike Fallon has grown up on the Merrimac River and runs a small charter boat business for himself. If any of you are interested in getting a chance to experience this action give us a call and we will be glad to connect you to Mike. There are also a few others we highly recommend!

I can report good action in Somervile last night. Went to fish the hour before and after high tide and caught a 38″ 17.6lb striper from the shoreline. Can’t remember the email address to submit pics, but I’ll send some in if you post it.

No need to post the email address, I noticed it is in the previous report.

Saturday may have been epic where all the boats were on top of each other but I was on the beach and shoreline of the river and didn’t see 1 hookup (bass) from 5:30 am – NOON. I did manage a bunch of flounder but shore fishing was horrible.
