June 20, Nice day for fishing

Sun is out and it’s pretty warm. The shop has been busy with new line, and bait sales. We’re trying to post our customer stories, undersize, catch and release and our regular weigh in photos. Here’s a few today. One catch and release and one kayak keeper.

“Here is the first striper I caught off the Island this year. It was 27 1/2 inches and is the biggest I have landed. I have 14 more between 25-27 inches. One of these days! ”
Sincerely, Jonathan Burt

James Jewkes reports:

This fish was caught off the surf on Plum Island near the mouth of the river on frozen herring. It was 6/16 at hight tide in the evening. I had a few others earlier in the week but not keepers.
