Though the flounder fishing remaIns  strong, striper action is slow. There bluefish around if you look.

    Was out yesterday all day couple of hits that’s it sand eels everywhere but no stripers biting.

    Dave do you fish off the beach i wanted to try off the beach but not sure how the fishing is?

    And also how do you catch the flounder off the beach i would like to catch some but i dont know how to rig up some set up or what bait to use?

    ive been getting mine on clams…use smaller hooks 1/0 or 2/0 depending on hook

    I haven’t got any flounder from beach but I do fish from beach also for stripers try the surfside of plum island near center not too bad or near jetty as for flounder your going to want to pick up flounder hooks something small and cut clams or worms works well many flounder in rye harbor right now also
