June 21 – slower, but there are fish here

Talked to Kay this morning and she says it seems to have slowed down a bit. However we have had a couple of reports from last night and this morning that were positive.
.
The Kelley boys have had an up and down week, a great Monday night but slow tuesday. Bob Smith went out this morning on the beachfront and said it was a waste of time, but a great day weather-wise.
.
Got a note from Dave this morning with these notes, “Went out early this morning at the top of the outgoing tide, and caught two keepers. The best part was, it was my first time catching stripers on lures/plugs.” Congratulations Dave, welcome to the pluggers.
.
Mackerel have been found again at Breaking Rocks, The Isles of Shoals and the Hampton Shoal Ledge. Seems whatever scattered them has moved on or a new wave has arrived.
.
Bobby (Baxter?) sent this pic from Joppa on Tuesday night.

On June 19, Paul Dagnese from Reading pulled this 15-8 from the river using worms. He caught it at dead low.
