June 23, Big tide, lighter wind

June 23, Big tide, lighter wind

This morning the tide was really low, cause it was really big last night. Pushing 10 feet, and add to that the NE wind pushing more water in the river. Big water (including 10 inches in my basement along the Plum Island Basin). The fishing has been pretty good though, with some big fish mixed in with little schoolies along the beach last night. This morning there were also schoolies along the jetties.

Like we said, there have been some big fish around. Especially if you’ve been willing to weather the weather. Here’s a customer photo from Saturday. A nice 30 pounder by Tallman. 42″
