Steve Jean writes, “Typical size American Shad that can be caught in the Merrimack River in urban cities like Lawrence and Haverhill. These two were caught and released on Tuesday May 29. Some days you can catch many. Not trying to brag about these fish but let others know about the amazing fishery.”

Jim St. Pierre sent in these beauties, “Myself and a friend of mine ventured out in the soup last night to fish the reservation. Picked this one up at parking lot two, on a big pencil popper! Didn’t have a scale but she measured out at 40 inches.”
