08 Jun June 8…..our crusty barnacles
There wasn’t much to report from the guys in the river this am that fished the low tide, but our local crusty barnacles are doing well along the oceanfront from their boat. Slow troll with some macks or throw some soft baits around! Seems that a lot of the fish are staying outside the mouth due to the amount of fresh water coming down the Merrimack River. That should shift soon though since the rain seems to be over for the most part. So anyone that has come in since low tide we have sent to the oceanfront. Haven’t seen anyone back yet, but high tide isn’t until almost 3;30 so it will be awhile. Did have one fisherman in that said he got 2 flounder earlier today so maybe they will start moving in now that the storm has past. The Kelly Boys were in the other night, but sorry, I didn’t hear how they did. I’m sure they will leave a comment soon.

Posted at 14:44h, 10 JuneWell, it got good…..real good! One of the best days of fishing the river for me, ever! Got about 15 bass all over 28″, biggest was 36″ and about 18#. Fish were busting all over. Birds were working from low right up through high and beyond. Best blitz was around high when fish were splashing all around the boat. Hook ups everywhere and on all kinds of baits from live macs, to eels, to soft plastics, chunks, etc. Great day to be a striper fisherman on the north shore!
