JUNE 8 – Steve’s report and video

Well things are finally starting to turn around after all the rain and northeast winds we had early last week. Water temps are back on the rise and big fish are filling in and chasing big bait. Infact, one of Ed’s fish this weekend coughed up a 15″ whiting! Ed, Andy, Tom, Brendan and Myself all had hooked and lost some really nice fish this weekend (we managed to land a couple too). We have been hitting fish on a variety of tides, both low and high but always after dark. Plugs (big swimmwers, mambo minnows) seem to be outfishing eels, but I did manage to take a couple decent fish with them last friday night. The fishing has not been hot and heavy by any means, in fact most nights it’s only been a handful of fish with a couple quality ones mixed in. However this time of year things are improving by the day and you have to put in your time, but you will find the fish…..tight lines!
