30 Jul Loose your hat? LOTS 6 & 7 OPEN!!!
LOTS 6 & 7 ARE NOW OPEN ON THE PARKER RIVER WILDLIFE REFUGE
So for the poor unfortunate soul that lost their hat around parking lot 6 you can now go collect it!
So it is time to head south! South on the island! What a popular place to fish towards the end of summer, and with schools of pogies up and down the beach chances are pretty good of catching some bass. And with the word of a few people being cut off, maybe even some bluefish can be had down around Emerson Rocks. Also with Black Sea Bass starting to move further north Emerson Rocks and the boulder field are perfect places to see if some have migrated to our waters. So go enjoy the newly opened spots, but remember there are only so many parking spots! Remember: the early bird gets the worm, and that worm just may get you a striper!!!
And for the night fishermen, you will be able to get your walk-on night fishing pass at the GATE HOUSE. With the Visitor Center/Head Quarters still closed to the public all transactions must be done at the Gate House which is presently being manned 7 days a week, usually from 7am-7pm or something like that.
