May 12, Fish to be had

This Morning, 5am through low tide. in the river, sandbar area (east of the Captains Ladies), 24″ and above fish. keepers among them. nice fish!!!

This afternoon, from noon on tallman(jeff) was at it again today. Up and down beach for the top of the tide. Nice pods of medium bass. Lots of fun to chase.

Baits of choice:
Leadheads(don’t forget the tail!!!), sluggos, storm shads, plastics

.

Great tides this week for morning in the river

Upriver has been good for shad as well. Here’s George Bossi with a nice specimen.

    I tried both side’s of the jettie no luck today fished the low tide stayed for a couple hours, ill be back tomorow i need a keeper!

    When’s the worst time for you reel to stop working? – when you’ve got your swim Shad in the middle of a pod of big bass, 10ft in front of you, and you can’t set the hook. That was 7.30pm, by the time I’d changed the reel the sun had set and the pod had gone.

    There’s always tomorrow..!

    Finally 30in keepa off the beach around noon.. slow afternoon.. I guess 5am and 4-dark was better..friday here we come.. nice and rainy.. atleast a pod showed up at dusk yesterday. missed it.. Tight lines everyone!!!
