May 17, Blowin and Raining

We’ve got a cranking NW wind here this morning. Top gust of 28 but sustained 20mph. Raining hard too. Last night had a report of one fish on Joppa, but no reports this morning before the weather kicked in full. You’ll have to be sturdy to fish today, though it’s supposed to get better this afternoon.

My 2 sons and I were out today in the wind and rain and managed 21 fish, 3 keepers, the rest were 24-27in ..not bad great day. Surprisingly most were on clam not the worm.

Sometimes the worst weather brings the best fishing.

That’s great. Most guys were sitting at home by the action seen at the shop

Yeah …it was great watching the boys nail so many….my oldest got his first keeper this year on a rod he wrapped himself…it did great despite the fact the flexcoat was barely dry. Thanks for all the great advice!
