28 May MAY 28-
Well, after I ended the post last night of the weekend review we had one more fisherman arrive with his dinner catch. Al & Nick Fowler had been out earlier in the day and Al had caught his 11-7 pounder. Well they decided to go back out to the southern end of the island later on to see if they could get a fish for Nick. They did, and he beat dad! They fished Sandy Point for the low tide using clams and Nick caught this 13-14 pounder!
Last night Brendan from SBT went out and this is his report:
“Went out and fished the incoming tide last night on the ocean front at 10:00 walking the beach with a needle fish I ended up with three fish from 15 to about 26 inches in the first hour and a half and it shut off after that.”
Today was a slower day as far as the number of people fishing so besides the few things posted here not many people came back into the shop. Sorry to say. But have had a number of people in for this evenings low tide in the river so maybe more to tell tomorrow. We did get some fresh mackerel in from the boats!!!
Just got this picture sent to us from Martha. Out in the boat, David Moulton (yes…..Kay’s son) and Jimmy Dudley are hooking into some nice fish early this evening.
Well…………at least David is:
Jimmy’s micro bass! Notice the arm extension…..
