AJ Drivas of plum island and Myke Fortier or Ipswich Massachusetts have been fishing together there whole lives. They have recently been using the hellhound white jerk bait along the beach of plum island and been having quite some luck getting into some bigger fish. After picking up the lure at Surfland these guys say it’s one of there new favorite lures. Thanks for the nice photos AJ!

Outgoing tides all 3 days, both on Joppa and in the mouth.We had to fight thru the small fish, by the hundreds, to get the 20-25 keeper sized fish. All we’re on plastics or top waters. All fish were released to keep the fishery healthy. Barbless hooks make those releases easier. Older gent is AntonP and son OriP- both from Rochester NY DebK is the female angler, From Stratham NH. Cody Nixon ‘s mojo is in high gear. This kid is on fire. This time it was the tube-n-worm that did the trick in Joppa during the high tide Tuesday.
Also in Tuesday Joe Dauphinais from Rutland VT came in with this 19-3 pounder that he caught using chunk mackerel from the beach.
The next day Robb Ward fished the Merrimac River for the low tide and caught this 16-7 pounder on …again.mackerel.
And Steve LeBlanc fished the Plum Island River and caught this 12-5 pounder on yet again………..chunk mackerel.
On Thursday we had some pictures sent to us:
Josh Najem : 45″ caught in the river…few others from 35-40. Sea lice on all the fish caught this week.
Tony Ath: 28.5″ caught on mackerel from the beach front:
And let us not forget Isaac Schmidt from Billerica, MA. He caught this 8-7 pounder while fishing on Manolin Charters and once again…..drifting mackerel in the mouth of the Merrimac.
