11 May Night time is the right time!
Last night we had a few hardy souls hit the front beach and work lures towards the south jetty at the mouth of the Merrimac River. Saray sent me this last night:
“While fishing with some friends and being the only one who didn’t catch anything out of the group, around 8:45, my luck changed when i finally hooked up on something and caught me off guard. Didn’t expect to catch a keeper my first day out but I did! 29.5 inches. Probably 100ft to the left of the parking lot across the st. From surfland. Caught on purple/black SP Minnow. Size:29.5 inches”
Others have been doing well along the beach and in the river. We just tell them to get out and walk. hit the beach up front and walk towards the jetties and keep casting. Have had a good number of guys down last this afternoon and tonight so hope the action continues to get better and better!
