Night time is the right time…..

Night time is the right time…..

Hi Gang,

Well looks like we are starting to transition into our typical summertime patterns. Seems like fish are becoming less active during the day and i’ve been adjusting my fishing accordingly. Last weekend I fished almost exclusively at night with a few QUALITY stripers to show for it. The operative word being “few”, although it’s been alot of work the fish have almost made up for it (what else am I gonna do, sleep??) Live eels and needlefish style lures have been getting ┬áthe job done. Time to start taking a nap late in the afternoon and get ready for some sleepless nights, they may be well worth it.

The rain has been a bit of a pain, as it is clouding up the water. However, if you hit the beach fronts and avoid the areas near the rivers you should find some clean water. So stock up on your redbull and get your vampire fishing on!!

Oh, and all fish were released to fight another day…..

Tight lines everyone, have a safe and happy holiday weekend!!

Being a past customer of Surfland(1960’s)I really enjoy reading all you guys updates.Today I fish for Salmon in the Columbia River, and find myself still longing for the time spent fishing the reservation, or just enjoying one of Mal Hudsons mackerel trips. Thanks for the updates.George Rainha, Leavenworth Wa.
