Well most of you are on to others things now but wanted to post a report that I received last night from one of the fishermen that are still at it. Steve got some eels last night and was nice enough to leave this note. Love it and thanks Steve:

last report

We know that some people are still catching fish on and around the locks in Boston and that the Canal is still producing fish!. So if you don’t want to put the rods away just yet head south. The fall run seems to be running on the later side so maybe you’ll be able to shorten the winter blues  (right Ed??) by heading south along the coast! Day trips!!!

But don’t forget to come see us still. We are open on weekends or by appt. We will also have extended hours closer to Christmas and will let you know about those after Turkey Day.

Got a few smaller blues (3-4 lbs) and a couple schoolies at Weekapaug last weekend. Saw a few nice keepers caught as well on bait. Going to give it 1 more try this weekend, RI is as far as I am going!

Felt like it was time to be part of Surfland and wanted other surfcasters to know that Steve’s post are appreciated and helpful…I also wanted to add that my first striper was caught on mothers day the past 2 years (water was 42) and NEVER give up until you have to leave for hunting season as my last striper was caught on November 1st(water was 47) on chunk bait (as usual) both from the beach not in the river and witnessed by others(that’s 6 months of fun and food!!!)good luck to all that chase the bucket mouth striper
