We have heard from a few of the buggies since they hit the beach this weekend. Peter, Terry, Dave and Steve fished the oceanfront using worms. Dave got a 32″ during the outgoing tide Saturday night. Steve got a fish this morning again on the outgoing tide. Peter and Terry got “nothing”. Sorry guys. They were surprised that they caught their fish during the outgoing tide when all their previous fish have been during the incoming tide. But it is called fishing and you just never know where and when you do some catching!!
I was on the beach early Saturday morning for sunrise and saw a lot of baitfish jumping to the left of the center. I couldn’t see if anything was under them, I was to far away. Billy Page and the crew listed above also reported seeing a lot of baitfish. This season is not over!!!
NOW……………for important news. My Dog Pete reported that Frank from the PRWR is willing to keep the beach open one more weekend for the drive-on’s and any other night fishermen with permits (due to shutdown). BUT…………….only if he is guaranteed at least five commitments from people. So what you have to do is call the headquarters and leave a message with Frank. Please only call if you will definitely be able to come and fish. 978-465-5753. (Kenny…Pete says you have Frank’s email. can you please post any info you have. thanks!!!)
Once we find out that it will be open we will make sure that we have worms for you guys! And, if you could give us a heads up that would be great so we order enough and so we don’t over order and have to make sauce from the worms!!!
So, let’s have one more weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!!
