October 8 – Active on all fronts!

On the 6th Carl H. sent me this short note, “Fish turned on a bit w/ sunset, falling tide, and arriving weather front for an hour or so down at Emerson Rocks/Sandy Pt. last night. Lost a keeper in a wave and rocks, landed 3 schoolies, missed or lost another 3-4 schoolies – all on pencil popper. Swimming plugs, plastics, not so productive for me at least. Just a couple other people fishing, not sure how they did.”

One guy who grabbed one was Alfred who mentioned, “Excuse me..But that’s my chair. Time for you to go back home!!!…Released Unharmed”

This morning I got a text from JimmyCow who swore he saw a tuna working about 1/2 mile offshore. Jumping and big slashes in the water. That’s just about where I found hoardes of schooling Mackerel on Friday afternoon, so it wouldn’t surprise me that tuna may have found them too.
.
And speaking of mackerel, how about this enthusiastic fella. Steve L. sent me this picture of a mac he caught while trolling for Bluefish. The mac had taken all three hooks from the treble. Steve carefully removed them and sent this mac back out to sea.
