October 9 – Lots of fish for the early birds

October 9 – Lots of fish for the early birds

I got to parking lot 6 this morning at 5:30. I got out to the beach and there were hundreds of gannets working the outside edge of the breakers. Second cast got me into a 32 inch fish followed by a 30 on 3rd cast. Ended up with 38 in total. It all ended about an hour after the change to low. Oh and thanks again for the help changing my tire earlier this year at the refuge office!!! Much appreciated!!!

Bent rods and tight lines!!

Timing is to fishing what location is to real estate; but anyone willing to be there at 0530 on a day in October richly deserves this outstanding success.

Is that a Deadly Dick metal, or what?

Approximately what time was it when it shut off?
