On June 1st Chris Faxon from Bradford Ma came in with his 10 pounder that he caught in the Merrimac River on clams. He was using clams to catch this fish.

John D. who has been working over in Salisbury, Ma has sent us a report. He decided to fish at Salisbury center before work from 4:00-6:30 am and reported seeing a school of big fish busting either macs or sea herring about 300 yds off shore and well out of his casting reach. Then John and Bill O. came over to the island to fish last night and we got this report and a picture this am.

Took 9 last night. No keepas.

My buddy “Wild” Bill O,

He took this 35″ on sp beach front. Released to dismay of my stomach….

Other reports that we have heard from a few guys tonight that have just come back from the cape is that there are a lot of big fish headed our way!

You should do very well….just make sure to set your drag, or you may lose your rod. You should have at least 23 pounds of drag. Also, there is some bald one-handed dude that will most likely out-fish you, so don’t be too upset when it happens. Be grateful that he lets you catch any….
