Rocks Village Cleanup Saturday April 16, 8AM

We are partnering with the Merrimack River Watershed Council to clean the popular shad fishing spot commonly called “Rocks Village”, located at Ferry Park in West Newbury. This section of river just upstream of Rocks Bridge collects a fair amount of floating trash along its banks; for this reason we are asking anglers and waterfowlers who volunteer to please bring their waders.

Coffee, donuts, contractor bags and cotton gloves will be available.

Please Note: Rocks Bridge was recently damaged and is currently closed. It’s hard to say if it will be open by the cleanup date. If it isn’t open, anyone coming up from 495 will have to drive through Haverhill and take the Groveland bridge.
