Mike and his daughter Sammy along with Uncle Dave went out fishing from Salem Harbor yesterday in Dave’s boat. They went out in the boat and fished around Misery Island. They anchored off the island and threw out some chunk mackerel. The fish started hitting before the high tide, went quiet at slack tide and then picked up again for the top of the outgoing tide. The schoolie stripers were following the bait back to the boat and hung around waiting for more food. Sammy caught 3 fish all around keeper size, lost one, and had tons of pick ups and drops. Uncle Dave also caught 3 keeper sized stripers. All in all a fantastic day on the water!
