Skate for Nate………………..Oct. 29th

Now “Skate Slayer” don’t get excited……………………this is the real deal, the one that involves ice.  My family, friends and supporters of  The Nathaniel Bibaud Recovery Fund are onto another fundraiser. I think this is one a lot of you fishermen are going to like.  (Especially since I’ve got a couple of pretty girls  from Riverfont Marine selling tees!!!) Hopefully if you weren’t hockey fans already you are now after this past year. Well, The Boston Bruins Alumni are going to Skate for Nate!

This unique event is occurring on Saturday, October 29th, 4-7 pm, when the Boston Bruins Alumni will take the ice at Governor’s Academy in Byfield, MA for an exhibition game against local athletes, fire fighters and other local “celebrities.” There will be opportunities to win Bruins memorabilia, obtain autographs (Ray Bourque among others!!!), and enjoy a healthy take on arena-style food, catered by Michael’s Harborside.

This Bruins Skate For Nate event is raising funds to continue the rehabilitative care for Nate Bibaud, 27, an Amesbury native and hockey enthusiast who was seriously injured last December.  You can learn about Nate’s story, and perseverance at www.natebibaud.org

So I hope you can make it. Going to be a fun night. And, yes, there will be a custom rod and reel package up for raffle. Just to entice you even more about going.  This time Mike MacCormack is creating a Boston Bruins Cod Rod.  We will be putting a package up that is sure to impress. More details to come…………
