11 Jan STRIPER DAY 2016 TRIP and HARD DAYS NIGHT MOVIE
Happy New Year Everyone,
Steve here! This past weekend I was invited down to Hofstra University on Long Island, NY for the first annual STRIPER DAY surfcasting show presented by Surfcasters Journal to premiere my brand new short surfcasting film HARD DAYS NIGHT. When we arrived at the university at 6am to setup we were greeted by a quarter mile long line of cars waiting to be let into the campus for the show (which started at 8:30). Apparently a group of die hard plug collectors had arrived at 9pm the night before with intentions of waiting all night to be first in line to be the lucky 100 to receive custom show special prize packs. Well the campus security was understandably freaked out and told everyone to beat it, and then locked down the campus…..Folks were finally let on campus and allowed to line up around 6:30, by 8am the line had grown to over 1500 people! The show was packed all day long, there were a ton of awesome vendors and seminars plus it was great to meet a group of die hard surfcasters from the NY area and talk fishing. The movie premiered to a full theatre and it was a great experience seeing some Plum Island footage up on the big screen. Thanks again to the gang at Surfcasters Journal for having me down.
If your not familiar with the online magazine, you should be! These guys are the only surfcasting specific publication out there, and they have the best articles, videos and product reviews you will find anywhere!
If you didn’t make the show, no worries….here is the full movie, enjoy!!
