Sunday May 17 – Weekend Report

This weekend has been a success for a lot of people. Have heard of a lot of a schoolies being caught at low tide down the river this weekend. Our own Tom Moriarty came in the shop Friday after catching 5 fish at the river during the am low tide. Friday afternoon Mark Rennie came down to fish the afternoon low tide in the Merrimac River and was back in about an hour with his first keeper of the season. Mark is from Barrington, NH and was using worms to catch this 11-3 pounder. Nice fresh fish….yum! Not much later, Billy Smith from North Andover came in from also fishing the lowtide in the river with his 10-6 pounder that he caught on a white bucktail w/pork rind. The rest of the weekend has produced a lot of schoolies for people. The Kelly boys and Steve hit the front beach last night and it was all small fish for them.
