Hi Liz, this is John McQuade, went out to lot 1 today with my grandson Oliver! His first day striper fishing. What a day caught 10 fish all from 26 inches to 28.5! I believe Kay was looking down on us and sending us the fish!

Hi Surfland!!

What a great weekend. Kieran got a new reel and his first salt water lures from the shop on Saturday. Sunday, it was down to Sandy point with some seaworms and the new casting set up. We weren’t catching much when Kieran decided to make a move and try out the new rod and reel combo. This was his first time casting a surf rod. We found a little hole that looked like it might hold some fish. A couple casts in a schoolie hits the sand. We moved the bait rods down and caught a bunch of schoolies and Kieran caught his first 2 keepers.

The river is producing. Birds and fish still outnumber the boats. Enough fish for anyone willing to fish daybreak. Nice 29 inch slot caught this morning.

5/13 at lot 1, caught 4 on your worms. Nick and Charlie (8 years). Lots of fish out front on incoming tide.

Hey Stickman,
Spent some time on the outgoing on Joppa Sunday (May 21), tons of Sturgeon around and I snagged this one in the tail, it was quickly released boatside. We landed 4 schoolies as well.

Thanks,
Mike C
