Thursday, September 30th. FOGGED IN!!!

Well the fog has certainly rolled in this am. Billy was down the refuge with about a dozen other people this morning and reported “nothing”.  The weather is perfect: a nice breeze from the  southeast, a bit of a chop on the water, and dim light. So where are they?  Honestly, we don’t know. Jimmy from Lowell has just arrived in the store to tell us that ganets are diving into the water off the oceanfront. Maybe there are fish under that pushing bait in. Let’s hope so. Will try to update later if we hear of anything. TallJeff, how was Hailey’s first day of fishing? Start them young! But Seriously, where was my report yesterday???

But we do have one positive report to give.  Yesterday afternoon a fisherman came into the shop and reported fish off the jetties. He was fishing off the jetties, the incoming tide and casting a “mackerel” top water lure on the ocean side of the rocks. He showed Mike a picture of a 38″ fish that he caught and released. Sorry TJ and Toby, this happening when you guys decide to hit the beach on the oceanfront. But the jetties would have been no place for Hailey!

Well we’ll see how the day goes………………………………………

Fished Cape Ann Wednesday a.m. (hour and a half before & after surise). Caught one schoolie stripper and a couple of blues; the blues were in the 8 to 10 lb range). Going to head out again Friday or Saturday morning, will let you know if the fishing keeps up.

bass rocks was awsome on wedensdsay, false dawn till 8 am, 4 keepers and 2 schoolies, biggest 35″ and 1 MASSIVE BLUE, pushed 15lbs and 36″. Park on a side steet, cops wont care this time of year. Throw yellow pencils and smack it. Goood luck
