TUESDAY JULY 22 – On the Beach
We have had a few good days and a few very slow days this week. Nothing like last Sunday! Warren Perry started the weekend early on Thursday and came in with a 15-2 pounder (35″) that he caught on a SP Minnow along the front beach. Warren was also just in the store and reported that his granddaughter caught a fish! she was using a 6′ rod with a little Mitchell reel and could only cast a short distance but that was all she needed to catch a fish! Fish ranged in the mid 20’s” . Fish hit at the top of the tide along the oceanfront (they were at parking lot 1)
Warren 7/17
Steve LeBlanc had a double hitter this weekend. Came down Saturday, got some worms, went to parking lot 1 on the PRWF, caught this 21 pounder at 6:30 am. Steve came the next morning and had a repeat performance. Same place, same tide…..19-4 pounder.
And then later in the day we had Christine Soukaras that came in from fishing chunk mackerel at the jetties during the incoming tide. Her fish weighed in at 12-11. STRIKE A POSE! WAY TO GO GIRL!
So there you have it, the weekend review from the beach. There are fish here, if you put the time in. Although sometimes you just get lucky and find the hole out there.
i am all for keeping a fish here and there but seems like a few people on here keep every keeper they get… how many fish can you eat in a week?
