Walk the beach. September 23

Walk the beach. September 23

Skip was just in the store this morning. He said that yesterday during the top of the high tide  he took a walk along the refuge beach and ran into bluefish. No birds in sight, but the water was boiling with fat little 6 pound bluefish. Their bellies were huge. They are probably having a feast with all the baitfish around. He said he was using top water lures, and the “blitz” lasted for almost 1 1/2 hours.

Bill also in this am for some more worms. He caught and released 5 fish with 4 of them being over 28′”.

We have had reports of stripers all week long being taken along the oceanfront.  With a weather report that clams we will have clear skies and nice temps over the next few days we hope that more of you will head out and FISH!!!

Stickman is the resident web design guy at Surfland. We pay him in eels.

I used the blood wrapped around sand worm technique last night low->high on lot 3, and found that it was very effective at catching skates – 12 in fact, and no stripers.

Matt, your comment was not deleted for your reason stated above. I am a special needs teacher and felt the word “retarded” (as you wrote it) was politically incorrect and felt that it should be removed. There are better words you can use to express your opinion.

Until it is illegal to keep these fish it is every person’s right to have a picture taken. Especially if it their first keeper. They caught and released 14 out of the 15 they caught. They are allowed to keep and eat two. They kept one. We asked him if he would like his picture on the site. It was his first and thought it would be nice to mention.
    That’s all.

That fish is a keeper and it takes a lot of effort to catch them. I think it’s okay to show it off.

Besides, you should expect to get a post removed if you call someone retarded.
