Weekend Drive On Closing

Weekend Drive On Closing

Drive-on anglers, please take note…

Due to high surf conditions related to Hurricane Igor, drive-on

access will be suspended starting at 3:00 PM on Sunday, 9/19 until

approximately 9:00 AM on Wednesday, 9/22.

Eastern winds are expected at various times throughout the weekend.

Though predicted to stay under 10 knots, seas could rise to 3-4 feet.

If at any point this weekend – if conditions indicate a cresting tide – please

set your rig back from the berm crest or move to higher ground (please do

not park next to vegetation on the foredunes). If necessary, please

consider moving your rig off the beach until the tide ebbs.

Thank you for helping to protect our interests on this beach.
