Weekend Report & First Weigh-in for 2019

Lots and lots of fish around this weekend. We haven’t had anybody tell us they got skunked. It was a busy day on Plum Island yesterday what with our Demo Day and then Plum Fest kicking in for the afternoon you were lucky if you were able to grab a place to park and fish unless you were down fishing in the am or after 6. Just plain CRAZY here!

And the river produced fish both days for low tide. Tim Crow sent us these photos of his daughter on Saturday. They had a lot of action at the river.

30 minutes in with her new fishing rod from Surfland!
Mark Miller from Andover, MA with the first weigh-in of the 2019 season (Sorry Mr. Smith). 5/18- Caught on clams at low tide in the mouth of the Merrimac River.
14-15lbs – 34″
5/18- John Healy (likes the southern end of the island)
Tons of fish at the point if your willing to fight through the bird people all this size and seems like they are not the small micros like early last season.

John Healy, I fished next to him Saturday morning. Awesome, funny guy! He was getting fish after fish on worms and I’m on his right throwing artificials with just 1 fish

Takes a real person to fish with artificials, as using bait is cheating!!!

    Tight lines pixie!!!
